Common Interest
Communities/Homeowners Associations
Colorado Mediation Center, LLC is available to
provide dispute resolution services for your Homeowners Association or other
Common Interest Community Association.
As of January 1, 2007, pursuant to recent amendments to the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act,
(CRS §38-33.3-124), most common interest community associations are required to
adopt a written policy setting forth
procedures for addressing disputes arising between the Association and unit
owners. The statute also encourages common interest communities to "adopt
protocols that make use of mediation or arbitration as alternatives to, or
preconditions upon, the filing of a complaint between a unit owner and
association in situations that do not involve an imminent threat to the peace,
health or safety of the community."
Please contact Colorado Mediation Center, LLC for assistance in drafting, reviewing, or
